  • Kerf Width Control: The material removal during a waterjet cutting process is directly related to the kerf width or the width of the water stream. Typically, the kerf width is around 0.03 inch (0.76 mm). However, the actual kerf width depends on various factors, such as the waterjet nozzle design, the type and properties of the abrasive used (if applicable), the nature of the material being cut, and the material thickness. Precise control over these parameters enables optimal kerf width management for specific applications.
